things to do

  1. Go to the Temple Bar district - Loads of fun! Cobbly little lanes with loads of character, numerous old bars with live irish folk music and places to eat too. It’s a little pricey for a Guinness, but the atmosphere is brilliant so definitely head down for a fun evening of Irish festivity!

  2. Jump on a Bus Tour - Check out all the sights in one day, if you’re not in Dublin long, it’s an easy way to see everything and we got a Guinness included too!

  3. Visit Guiness Storehouse & Leprechaun Museum - Unfortunately I was unable to do both of these, but was reliably informed by friends both were worth a visit. The leprechaun museum is a lot of fun with giant chairs etc. to give you some great silly memories and the Guinness storehouse you learn to pour the perfect pint then sit in the rooftop bar with the best views over Dublin, whilst you drink it.

food

Murrays Bar and Grill - Quality irish grub, a Guinness, irish folk music and a massive beer garden - what more could you want! Great pub with great grub.

MV Cill Airne Boat Bar and Restaurant - Fancy something a bit different…then jump on this boat and have a lovely dinner with cracking views from the water. Lovely boat and great food.

Bars/pubs

So… firstly as i said head down to the Temple bar area and do a pub crawl and you’ll have great fun. OUTSIDE of that though here’s a few wee specific suggestions…

Vintage Cocktail Club (see picture)- Very cool, fancy cocktail bar in the Temple bar area. If you fancy an hour off the Guinness then this could maybe be the spot for you.

The Merchants Arch - Had a cracking night in here, superb atmosphere, live band playing classic songs all night long. Food looked really good too but I had Guinness for starter, main and pudding!

The Brazen Head - Irelands oldest pub, lovely and a little bit more chilled. Proper quality Irish night here with entertainment, good food and cheaper Guinness than Temple Bar!
