things to do!

  1. Beach! - You go to Nha Trang for the beach. Whether you stay at an amazing resort or a city hotel, there’s a lot of great beaches and some fun beach bars!

  2. Night Market - It’s a pretty simple, basic, one street market, so if you miss it don’t worry, but worth a stroll down if you need a cheap hat because you burnt your bald head on the beach….

  3. Mud Bath - Never got a chance to get to the famous mud baths of Nha Trang, but I met a couple of drunk blokes who had had a great day there (Tripadvisor got nothing on me!) so you should check them out. Want more info? Check it out here .

  4. Walk down some Alley ways! - Stroll around the little alleyways of Nha Trang, they have a real buzz, you’ll find restaurants, pubs and great nightlife. If you go down the night market, when you reach the top, cross the street and down that alley, good bars and restaurants there.

  5. Vin Wonders - Amusement park, if that tickles your fancy, then head here. Meant to be cracking! You can’t miss it, when your on the beach look across the ocean and you’ll see a big ferris wheel!

  6. Po Nagar Cham Towers - And finally some history…Wee trip outside Nha Trang to an ancient Vietnamese Temple. I stayed on the beach having a beer so I can’t tell you much, except if you don’t like the beach and beer…you could go here instead!

food & Drink

  1. Linh’s - Vietnamese cuisine for cheap! Great food at brilliant prices and lovely service. HIGHLY RECOMMEND! (see picture)

  2. Sailing Club (see picture in THINGS TO DO above) - Great atmosphere, especially at night when there’s DJ’s, fire shows and more. Wee bit expensive, but expected as it’s a great beach bar in prime location.

  3. Yashoda Indian - Fancy something a bit different? Well this was a great Indian restaurant we found. Decent prices, top grub and great portions! I walked out 10 kilos heavier!

  4. Giong - Love coffee? Definitely go here! They are absolute specialists with a huge variety of coffee flavours to try. You can watch them grinding the coffee, try various samples, then pick the coffee of your choice! Oh and you can even get a photo with them at the end, see below!

  5. Palms Bistro Bar - The bikers bar! Good fun, loads of good beer and live music! Check out picture at the bottom.

  6. Jelly Brew Pub - Fun wee establishment we found down the alley across from the night market. Sit in the street with the hustle and bustle going by, good music and a selection of beers (see picture at bottom)

My hotel

The Empyrean Hotel - I mean a roof top pool over looking the sea and a room with a balcony looking out to sea as well, it wasn’t a bad few nights. The section of the pool which has a glass bottom is fun too, as you can see all the way down to the road, although a wee bit scary... Oh! Make sure and book the hotel to get the breakfast and for ease.

NOTE: You can only enter the pool area once for free as a hotel guest. If you go away and comeback there’s a small fee for the second time you wish to use the pool. If you are not a hotel guest, in the apartments, you always have to pay.
