sight seeing
The Big Red Bus - If you’ve not been in London ever and you don’t have a guide/friend and you want to see all the big main sights then getting the hop on hop off bus is probably best for you!
Cable Car (see picture at bottom) and River Cruise - Fun way to see the river and the O2. Get a Cable Car across it seeing London from the skies then jump on a boat down the thames. You’ll see the Tower of London, Globe, HMS belfast (see picture), London Eye, Big Ben etc.
Canal Trip Camden to Little Venice - Something a bit different. Head to Camden, check out the markets, crazy shops and street food then jump on a canal boat that takes you all the way through London going past London Zoo and seeing where the celebrities live…not in the zoo! Although some maybe should😀, but the many stunning houses where the rockstars and actors stay in West London.
Head up the Shard (see picture at bottom)- See right across London from the tallest building in the UK, no better sight seeing than that…unless you’re scared of heights, then get the bus 👍
fun things to do
West End/Fringe Theatre/Comedy - Shows galore in London. Take your pick of big musicals. If I had to pick a comedy I’d say The Play That Goes Wrong (see picture, thats my bald head in it 😂) so I am biased, but it is brilliant! Want to try something a bit different, then check out what fringe shows are on here.
Shuffle club - A great fun place, with top notch food, cocktails and beer. Everyone can have a go at both the full size game and table games. Click on the link to get your Shuffle on!
Urban Golf - Love your golf, but fancy cutting out the walking and rather have a beer while you play instead on some of the most famous courses in the world? Then this is the place for you. An extremely accurate simulator screen where you drive, pitch and putt round famous courses as it stores every stat. Then maybe finish with a wee driving competition or nearest to the pin.
Rooftop Cinema or Everyman Cinema - Two unique cinema experiences. The rooftop cinema with the outdoor big screen on a summer’s eve is a romantic winner! BUT…if it’s cold then head to the old fashioned everyman, where little lamps, sofas and an old school cinema feel makes it a champion of DATE NIGHT’S.
Bounce/bat and ball - Love table tennis or beer pong, then these are the places for you. Book a table at these ping pong bars and have a great night of fun, up to you whether you play seriously and use the table for what it was designed for or whether you just play table tennis.
Toca Social - Big screens which you kick footballs at to score points! Plenty games for novice to skilled footballers. Have some beers and see who hits the best volleys when a bit tiddly (drunk)!
Flight Club - One Huuuundred and eeiiiighty!!! Darts for everyone! Silly games, beers and food. So much fun and you can play with a few to many! Check it out!
Escape room - London has some phenomenal escape rooms, little bit pricey sometimes, but some are amazing experiences. Check out the Sherlock Holmes one here, it’s a belter!
Lucky Voice - I love Karaoke! There I said it and i’m not ashamed! Lucky Voice you can book a booth where you and your friends can sing away anything - Disney, Whitney, Backstreet Boys, Eminem - you name it they have it!
Go see a football match or do a stadium tour - Wembley, Stamford Bridge, Tottenham Hotspur Stadium, Olympic Stadium, but my personal favourite the emirates! COYG! (see picture at bottom)
Others - London Dungeons, Madame Tussauds, Tower Bridge and many more…I mean it’s a big city!

places to go
Hyde Park - The main park of London toon. It’s massive so jump on a bike and scoot round - see the memorials, fountains, statues and wildlife, then finish by grabbing a pedalo on the pond. ALSO depending when you’re here there’s many events. One of my faves every year is Winter Wonderland (see picture), that’s me on a ride way up in the air absolutely crapping myself taking that picture! Loads of rides, log cabins, taverns and places to eat.
Hampstead Heath (see picture at bottom) - Huge picturesque park where you can go for a swim in the outdoor ponds. Getaway from the mad touristy city centre and enjoy, then head to a nearby local pub where you can get a lovely Sunday roast!
Museums/Galleries - There’s a lot in London! I’ve taken my nephew to both the National History Museum and Science Museum and they are brilliant, especially if you are a dinosaur fan! If war is more your thing then try the Modern Imperial War Museum although it’d be strange if war was ‘your thing’….🤔 you know what i mean! Finally, like some world renowned art, then head to the Tate ! No for me, but loads of people love it!
Camden/Borough/Spitalfields Market - London loves a market and here’s a few of the best and most famous, with loads of little shops and a variety of food stalls definitely check one of these out.
South bank (especially summer, see picture at top) - The Southbank is home to loads of restaurants and bars and is one of my favourite places to head on a hot day. It’s also home to the National Theatre, London Eye, Globe Theatre and many more sights. You’ll also find, depending on when you are there, loads of pop up stalls and bars, buskers and even shows! So basically take an afternoon stroll along the bank! Get the steps in!
Covent Garden - Home of the busker! Some amazing street performer talents, so head up to the Punch and Judy pub balcony to watch on a sunny afternoon a variety of acts with pint in hand. Also it’s a very scenic square with a great variety of restaurants, shops and pubs.
The Globe Theatre - Want the full ye olde experience? Then Shakespeare at the Globe is probably as near as you can get to being here centuries ago. Stunning thatched roof theatre doing Shakespeare plays the way they were done centuries ago.
