breakfast
Dishoom - Fantastic indian twist on breakfast in the UK (see picture). If you want something super tasty, filly, not too expensive and a bit different go here!
Breakfast Club - Well the title says everything. It’s literally all about breakfast and brunch. With an 80’s american feel it’s a cool place to go, not expensive and does amazing breakfast options from the classic full english to the classic american pancakes, syrup and crispy bacon.
Duck and Waffle - It’s fancy, it’s pricey, but it’s an experience. Open 24 hours a day over the weekend, with amazing views over the city and stunning food, it’s definitely worth trying once!
lunch
The Beef Wellington Experience - Head to Heddon’s Kitchen for the Gordon Ramsay Experience, it’s no cheap but still great value! See top picture for the Beef Wellington and picture here for the 3 starters….just bloody delicious!
Sunday Roast - The absolute classic, meat, veg, gravy, Yorkshire pudding, stuffing…the ultimate comfort food on a cold Sunday afternoon. My top tip is head out to some of the ye olde pubs in Hampstead where they do it proper!
Afternoon Tea - Another british classic, get the pinky up in the air and sip on your tea whilst having a jammy scone, sandwiches and a cheeky cake. If you want to really get the afternoon going, why not upgrade with some bubbles.
Borough Market - Top notch street food from all around the globe, so many options of different types of food. Great to go on a summer’s day with a group of fussy eaters!
Honest Burger - British burger chain with plenty stores in London. Great burgers with great Chips! Vegan options too. Solid lunchtime belly filler!
dinner
Black lock - If you love steak then head here, especially on Monday night when they are doing great deals. Also you have to get the cheesecake, proper old school, scooped out a tray for you and they don’t hold back on the portions so don’t even think of having lunch that day! Nice for a date too with the old low lighting for romancing!
Fish and chips - Coming to the UK, then you have to have fish and chips. There’s loads of great ones all round London, but Toff’s in Muswell Hill are belting so if you’re near pop in and get a large fish supper loads of salt and vinegar!
Flat Iron - Wee steak chain round London. Lovely steak and sides with free popcorn when you arrive and ice cream when you leave. As steak 3 course meals go, it’s cheap in the centre and quality grub!
Gallipoli - Great turkish on Upper street. My personal fave is the Iskender. Cheap with loads of options and plenty of bars to go to after.
Sticks ‘n’ Sushi (see picture at bottom) - If you love Sushi, obviously a winner. Classy establishment with a wide variety of dishes. I love the fact there’s also quite a few meat options as i’m not the biggest Sushi fan myself. Makes it a good option for everyone.
Dishoom - Brilliant Indian restaurant with a few around London. So many options and absolutely quality dishes. High recommended from your Baldy!
Bob Bob Ricard - Ok this one will dent the old bank balance a wee bit, but what do you expect if you have a button to press for champagne (see picture below)! Yip, champagne on tap, oysters, beef wellington, steak tartare(see picture at bottom) and many more top class dishes. Get the top hat on and go big for one night!
Wingmans/wing wednesdays - Who doesn’t love chicken wings?! Wingmans for me is an absolute winner and my personal fave…TRUFFALO WINGS - truffle and buffalo sauce wings…oooft….nuff said…go and enjoy!
China Town - Huge chinatown bang in the centre near Leicester Square so many to choose from. Stroll around take in the options, then go for whatever you fancy from Chinese to Vietnamese and even the odd buffet!
