things to do

  1. Head to the beach - Lovely beach in Alicante with some really nice beach bars. Become Maverick and Goose and play some volleyball then grab yourself a cheeky Pina Colada (see below)!

  2. Hike up to the castle - So…erm…i may of been a bit too cheeky and mixed my Sangria with Pina Colada’s so didn’t actually visit the big castle (big hike on a hangover), but I did visit another smaller one (see picture at top) and it gave some amazing views, but if you’re going to visit a castle definitely head up Santa Barbara Castle.

  3. Passeig Esplanada D’espanya - Long arty walkway down by the sea (see picture). Lined by palm trees, with bars and food nearby and little stalls, a fun place to stroll pre or post beach.

food

Loads of fantastic tapas down the cobbled streets, a couple of our favourites in the old town was Sento and El Buen Comer. Also a fantastic meat restaurant in the old town too was Las Brasas de San Miguel (see picture below).

BREAKFAST - The deluxe breakfast i had in Alicante (see picture to the left) was just superb! It was also in a very cool coffee place so if you love coffee check it out. Madness Coffee for breakfast and coffee!

My airbnb

Lovely flat only a few minutes from the market in the old town. Really great place to stay, loads of space, massive living room and lovely rooms. Also made a new friend in the square nearby, he was there every day!
