things to do

  1. Beaches - Koh Lanta is such a chilled island. So if you love stunning beaches for miles, then this is the place for you. They also all face directly towards the sun in the evening so you get a stunning sunset as you chill at the many beach restaurants and bars (see pictures at bottom).

  2. Bars -My couple of faves were Majestic Bar and Why Not Bar, both play great chilled music, have great happy hour cocktails and have big cushions you can laze on whilst watching the sunset.

  3. Koh Lanta Old Town - Fancy a little bit of activity then head over to the old town where you can jump on the swings whilst viewing paradise (picture above), go to hammock house (picture left) or just stroll through the main street checking out the variety of little shops

Food

Cook Kai Restaurant - Traditional Thai food in a family restaurant. Thatched roof with a waterfall feature and seashells dangling from the roof. It’s quirky, it’s cheap, it’s authentic, it’s tasty, it’s a winner! There is loads of restaurants on the beach, where you can watch the sunset, but with a lot of them, their food doesn’t quite match here and its got so much character, well worth a wee visit even for lunch.

my hotel

Sri Lanta Resort and Spa - Amazing value hotel we stayed at (see picture). Huge balcony, massive room, stunning beach, three pools and all for £60 a night. Right on the beach not far from our favourite bar in Koh Lanta, Majestic, and every night we had food at the restaurants on the beach.
