things to do

  1. Go Punting! - Jump on what seems like a wide, wooden old school canoe, then lie back and watch the stunning sights of Cambridge go by as a man pushes the boat along with a massive pole.

  2. Hire a bike and tour the town! - It’s such a stunning place Cambridge and it’s very accommodating of cyclists. So many old buildings to see, fancy bridges, the University and Cathedral so jump on a bike and pop round and see them all.

  3. Tour the University - There’s loads of amazing buildings as well as museums to check out and let’s be honest along with punting it’s the most famous thing about Cambridge so you got to go see where all those big brains are grown!

Food

Gardenia is a brilliant takeaway greek restaurant open all day. You can sit in as well, but when you’ve been out at night this is where it really comes in to its own, from kebabs to calamari it’s delicious!

Fitzbillies is famed for its chelsea buns so head here for a wee afternoon coffee and a ridiculously tasty bun. Not good if you’re on a diet, but have a cheat day and get a bun in your belly!

Fudge Kitchen! - The title says it all, loads of amazing fudge and there’s a vegan option too.

The Market - Try something different from all the chain restaurants and grab some fancy market food cooked right in front of you. I had a cracking Scotch Egg here!

Ok so…not too healthy these options, but there’s salad in the Kebab’s and you need the energy for all that punting!!
